Kerri & Phil | Married

5/10/2016

On April 9th, the snow was melting, the flowers were growing and Kerri and Phil were preparing to tie the knot. This duo are two remarkable people who grew up an ocean apart only to meet each other, fall in-love and in the process bring together not only two families, but two cultures. It was their passion for the Lord that drove their lives to the same path and lead them to meet. In the little village of Keswick, they said their vows in front of God, their friends and family. After the announcement of the new Mr and Mrs Younger, the family and I made our way to Mactaquac Provincial Park and Golf Course, where we took advantage of the rolling hills and the bare ground. Once the formal portraits came to an end, it was back to Keswick Baptist Church for the reception. My light-loving self couldn’t be more thrilled with the sunlight streaming through the windows, giving an even stronger feel to the spring influence of the decor. Kerri and Phil gave out small jars of flower seeds to their guests for them to “Watch Love Grow” - and it was perfect. Bright flowers welcomed their guests, and the aroma of a freshly made turkey-dinner teased everyone’s stomachs and noses (thankfully it wasn’t a long wait for the delicious meal). With bellies full, and smiles across everyone’s faces the group headed out to the next destination - the ceilidh (and it was the coolest thing). The night went out with laughter, sheepish grins, and a few bruises - and I must say, I’m pretty proud of how those New Brunswickers stepped up to the plate on the Scottish dances (okay, maybe we aren’t ready to go to Scotland and show just how good we are… yet).
